Angel’s Herbal Cigarettes

Angels is a campaign built around introducing a new cigarette brand not by explaining what it was, but by creating a world that felt immediately recognizable and desirable.

Shot across Austin, Texas, the campaign unfolded through a series of interconnected films and images, establishing the visual language and mythology of Angels for the first time.

We moved through restaurants, coffee shops, bars, private homes, ranch land, highways, and underpasses, searching for the moments between moments: gestures, glances, smoke, movement, light, and the strange intimacy of being somewhere with someone. Austin became a collection of textures through which we could explore something romantic, rebellious, intimate, and distinctly American.

The work established a visual vocabulary rooted in the romance of fleeting moments somewhere between memory and desire, where Angels became less like something being introduced and more like something you somehow already remember.
